Junior Program
We strongly believe that power of sport has a positive influence in the development of our youth.

Last year's successful junior golf club lineup returns with even more clinics and activities for our junior golfers.

Renfrew Timbits Spring Junior Golf Clinics:
There will be two Junior Golf Clinics scheduled on April 28th and May 5th. Renfrew Tim Hortons is continuing their Flagship sponsorship of this great event. These Clinics are open to any child aged (6-18) whether they are a Member of the Golf Club or not. The charge will be $20.00 for the two-day clinic.
Please register prior to the first Clinic, by calling Christine at the Pro Shop at 613-432-2485 ext. 222.

Saturday, May 12th - Saturday, June 30th. 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. For ages 6 - 17. $5.00 per clinic or all 8 clinics for $30.00.

Renfrew Timbits Junior Days:
Commencing on July 3rd and every Tuesday thereafter until August 28th a Junior Day Clinic will be scheduled (unless otherwise specified). We encourage all RGC Junior members to participate in the free lessons.
Clinics will run from 3 p.m. - 4 p.m. for the girls' club and from 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. for the boys. The tee will be reserved for participants starting at 4:45 p.m. so Juniors can play after their clinic. The Pro Shop will help new members find other Juniors of like abilities with hopes to develop regular playing groups. Occasionally there will be an organized playing format for any participant wanting to play in Junior Night. In the event of a tie in any Junior Competition the handicap computer will determine a winner and subsequent prize allocation.

Boy and Girls Renfrew Timbits Clubs:
Entry into this club is free for anyone who purchased a Junior Membership for the 2012 season. The Timbits Clubs are open to non-members who for $50.00 can enjoy the Tuesday instructional clinics (10 in total). Non RGC members do not have playing privileges. However they are welcome to use the practice facilities at any time. The minimum ages for the Clubs are 6 years old.

Junior Camp
The Pro and her staff will hold a five half-day Junior Camp running from Monday, July 9th to Friday, July 13th. This camp will be coordinated by CPGA golf professionals for children aged 6-13. Time of the camp is from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. each day. The objective of this camp is to provide young golfers with an opportunity to learn basic golf etiquette and skills, develop lasting friendships, and have tons of fun in a non-competitive, adult supervised environment. The camp is open to non-member and members. Cost of the Camp is $135.00. This camp sold out last year so register with the Pro Shop at your earliest convenience.

Junior Qualifying Rounds
Renfrew Golf Club will field a team to play in the OVGA Junior Intersectional Matches and the Blakeley Cup (Jr. Gordon Cup) against other Golf Clubs. To determine the team, there will be Tournament Qualifying Rounds. The two best gross scores from each competitor from these tournaments will be used to determine the team. Prizes will be awarded after each qualifying tournament alternating from Gross and Net winners. Please watch the Junior Board for sign-up sheets for the various qualifiers.

Please note that once the team has been set; team members are responsible for getting themselves to the various events. Team shirts will be provided. Team shirts must be worn by team members at the Intersectional events. Parents of the team members will be asked to drive their children and other team members from time to time.

Junior Club Championship Weekend
All Junior Members are encouraged to play in the CCW scheduled August 11th and 12th. Prizes will be awarded to all participants in both Gross and Net categories for Boys and Girls.

Junior Playing
The minimum playing age for a Renfrew Junior Member is 8 years old, however both 8 and 9 year olds must play with an Adult Member or Non-Member. All other Juniors can play without an adult during their allotted Junior times. These times are as follows: Monday - Wednesday NO RESTRICTIONS
Thursday - Sunday After 2 p.m. (unless with an adult)
Exceptions to these rules can be made by the Pro and his assistants only!
