RGC Junior Member Play Restictions:
Junior Play Restrictions
- Ages 15–17:
- May play on Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11:00 AM to close.
- Ages 8–14:
- May play on Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday starting at 12:00 PM to close.
- Ages 8–12 must be accompanied by an adult unless prior approval is obtained from the Pro Shop Manager or General Manager, based on skill level and understanding of pace-of-play expectations.
- Monday Play:
- Juniors may play 9 holes only from 12:45 PM to 2:00 PM.
- Wednesday Junior Day:
- Juniors may play 9 holes only from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM.
- Thursday: No junior play is permitted until after 6:00 PM. Only way Jr’s can access the tee sheet is after 4:00pm with an adult as a 15 to 17 year old category.
KIDS GOLF FREE AFTER 5:00pm Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Kids age 14 and under Golf for Free after 5:00pm at Renfrew Golf Club. Juniors must golf with a paid adult to play for free. Kids 14 & under can also register for a 2025 Junior Golf Membership for $150 when you accompany that purchase and register for Golf Canada Gold Membership. Having kids connected to Golf Canada assists with game inprovement tracking and provides Juniors an accurate handicap that they will travel with in competition.

Juniors on the Course
The minimum playing age for a Renfrew Junior without an adult companion is 10 years old. However, younger juniors are welcome to join, provided they play alongside either an Adult Member or an Adult Non-Member. In special cases where a junior golfer under 10 exhibits enough experience and skill, our Golf Professional may grant special playing privileges.
Our Junior Wednesday program kicks off after school is out, offering supervised group play with an instructor or adult volunteer. For participants under the age of 10, a parent walker is necessary for the group, thus allowing parents to register multiple kids for group play with one adult to oversee. Safety is paramount, so please exercise caution when sending your junior golfer to the club without sufficient prior experience. Parent Walkers on Wednesday are free. They are present for safety and to lend a few words of encouragement to the group.
Junior Qualifying Rounds
Renfrew Golf Club will field a team to play in the OVGA Junior Inter-sectional Matches and the Blakeley Cup (Jr. Gordon Cup) against other Golf Clubs. To determine the team, there will be Tournament Qualifying Rounds. The two best gross scores from each competitor from these tournaments will be used to determine the team. Prizes will be awarded after each qualifying tournament alternating from Gross and Net winners. Please watch the Junior Board for sign-up sheets for the various qualifiers.
Please note that once the team has been set; team members are responsible for getting themselves to the various events. Team shirts will be provided. Team shirts must be worn by team members at the Inter-sectional events. Parents of the team members will be asked to drive their children and other team members from time to time.
